  The main tasks of the Department of automation of library processes and database coordination
- improving the quality of library services provided by the BIC on the basis of automation of library and information processes;
- creation of the University's "Electronic Library System";
- organization of users' access to electronic scientific and educational information resources, online services of the BIC;
- ensuring the functioning of the automated Information and library system (AIS) The BIC as a whole, the work and interaction of all its arms;
- comprehensive advertising and promotion of library resources and services (video lectures, video slides, virtual book exhibitions, stands, banners, flyers, booklets, brochures, etc.), on the website and SMM;
- creation of an integrated automated library process management system, including the development, implementation and support of automated subsystems based on a local computer network;
- providing consulting assistance to users on working with foreign full-text databases (trainings, seminars), monitoring the activity of publications, identifying scientific articles in international citation databases, supporting the publication activity of teaching staff.

  The consists of:
- IT and digitalization sector;
- Library development and communication sector.

 Tasks of the IT and digitalization sector:

- organization of the digitization process of the most valuable and rare publications from the library's collection with the preservation of copyrights;
- development of the repository of works of the University faculty;
- the development of the information and communication environment of the BIC, the formation of a virtual library space in the information environment (social network), the expansion of the audience of Internet users.

   Tasks of the library and communication development sector:

- development of corporate cooperation in the field of informatization with information centers and organizations;
- development of library projects aimed at improving the BIC and participation in the implementation of interuniversity, national and national projects; conducting scientific, methodological and  communication work;
- integration of activities with libraries, library associations, operators and aggregators of electronic information resources, publishing houses, museums and other cultural and educational institutions;
- monitoring and development of library activities, implementation of best practices.

 The main tasks of the department of library acquisition and scientific processing:

- replenishment of the book fund with traditional textbooks, scientific and fiction literature, periodicals and documents on electronic media for educational programs;

- accounting of literature coming and going from the library fund;

- maintaining the general catalog of the library; 

- maintaining the total and inventory records of the fund;

- scientific and technical processing of all incoming documents to the library;

- coordination of the sector's activities with institutes, faculties, departments, and structural units of the university;

- cooperation with publishers and bookselling organizations;

- subscription to periodicals.
