Dear Readers!

The republican campaign “One Country — One Book” is an important cultural project aimed at promoting the spiritual heritage of our country and fostering a culture of reading. Within the framework of the campaign, works by outstanding representatives of Kazakh literature are selected annually and widely presented to the public.
As part of this campaign, the novel “Tagdyr” (“Destiny”) by the People’s Writer Kabdesh Zhumadilov was chosen as the Book of the Year. The novel artistically portrays the historical destiny of the Kazakh people, the complex periods experienced by the nation, as well as national identity and spiritual values. “Tagdyr” is a significant literary work that shapes historical consciousness and strengthens patriotism and national spirit. In 1990, Kabdesh Zhumadilov was awarded the Abai State Prize of the Kazakh SSR for this novel.
The main goal of the campaign is to widely promote the rich literary heritage of Kabdesh Zhumadilov, encourage the younger generation to read fiction, and popularize national values. In this regard, various literary evenings, reader conferences, exhibitions, and creative meetings are organized in libraries, educational institutions, and cultural organizations.
We invite all readers to actively participate in the “One Country — One Book” campaign and to get acquainted with the meaningful and inspiring works of Kabdesh Zhumadilov!
