Tasks of the Fund Organization and Preservation Department:
- rational organization of the library fund on a scientific basis, ensuring its formation, monitoring, storage and use;
- identification, study and analysis of information needs of users;
- prompt satisfaction of readers' requests for documents included in the department's fund;
- control of the storage and use of BIC funds;
- creating favorable conditions for the effective use of the fund by users in the "OPEN SPACE" format;
- implementation of full and operational reference, bibliographic and information services for students and teaching staff in accordance with the directions of educational and scientific activities of the university in the library and remotely;
- improving the forms and methods of information and bibliographic services.
The structure of the Department for the organization of the fund and the preservation of the BIC:
- The User Support sector of the Library and Information Center;
- The sector of the Information and Bibliographic service.
Tasks of the User support sector:
- disclosure of the library's fund through thematic exhibitions and book collections;
- attracting the most relevant and useful electronic resources to the library and providing them with permanent or test access;
- formation of a collection of reference and information publications on various media;
- formation and improvement of the level of information culture and media literacy among library users;
- organizing and conducting information and educational events (trainings, lectures, seminars) to improve information and media literacy of users, in traditional and distance learning forms.
Tasks of the Information and Bibliographic Service sector:
- organization of scientific, bibliographic and informational work;
- coordination of the virtual help desk hosted on the library's website;
- modernization of the sector's work on the basis of information and communication technologies, creation of a modern system of reference, bibliographic and information services;
- organization and maintenance of a reference and search engine;
- improving the library, bibliographic and information culture of readers.
