Tasks of the Information and Library Services Department of the BIC:
- high-quality and prompt library and information and bibliographic services for all categories of university users in accordance with information requests and rules of use of the BIC;
- introduction of new technologies into the accounting and book publishing processes on the platform of the automated library and information system (ABIS IRBIS), maintaining the database "Reader", "Book publishing";
- organization of information and educational events (training sessions, lectures, seminars) to improve the information and media literacy of readers, the formation of information retrieval skills;
- organization and holding of mass events aimed at revealing the cultural heritage enclosed in the fund of the department;
- organization and storage of the library fund of the BIC.

   The structure of the Information and Library Services Department of the BIC:

 Tasks of the fiction and rare literature sector:
- organization and holding of mass events aimed at revealing cultural heritage;
- prompt and high-quality library and reference bibliographic services for users of the BIC in accordance with the requirements of the educational process, information and personal requests of readers and the Rules of Use of the library;
- participation in cultural and educational work with students, active promotion of moral and cultural values of the world community using various forms and methods of library work;
- expanding the range of library services, improving their quality;
- ensuring the safety of the Sector's funds.
