1962 year

Zhambyl Institute of water-melorative construction was established, and a library was opened with a book fund of 9957 copies donated by the Kazakhstan Agricultural Institute. Olga Kuzminichina Gorshenina was appointed the first head of the library. The staffing table of the library consisted of 5 units. The library of the institute was located in 7 rooms of the then Communist building at 61 (now it houses the Zhambyl Regional Museum of local lore).

1963 year

From the branch of the Kazakh chemical and Technological Institute, it was established as the Zhambyl Technological Institute of light and food industry. Ariadna Igorevna Zhukova, a graduate of the Leningrad State Institute of Culture named after N. K. Krupskaya, headed the library from 1963 to 1986. 1964 year

The regional branch of the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute was opened in Karatau. This was due to the need to train specialists for the development of the Karatau-Zhanatas phosphorite Basin. To date, the fundamental educational institution has trained more than 9,000 specialists. Since the opening of this institute, the library has also been working steadily.

1967 year

In the library of the Zhambyl Technological Institute of light and food industry, information and bibliographic, book collection and processing departments were opened, and the library continued to serve in the scientific and educational system.
This department provided readers with information and bibliographic and reference and bibliographic services. Since this year, the "card index of systematic articles" and the "card index of advanced practice" of the Department have been carried out in the field of Education. Bibliographic descriptions of articles of periodicals (newspapers, magazines) received in the library were compiled, systematic articles were selected and supplemented by industry in the card index.

1968 year

1970 year

The library of the Zhambyl Institute of water reclamation construction was moved to a new dormitory building, where 2 reading rooms, a subscription and a Department of scientific literature were opened. The library fund was replenished with books in various fields and amounted to 213,271 copies.

From 1970 to 1982, the library was headed by T. P. Melnikova.

1977 year

The library conducted a scientific examination in two academic groups on the topic "study of academic performance and the relationship of reading in the library".
In May, the reading room was moved to the 4th floor of the 4th academic building, where students of the 1st and 2nd courses of the Faculty of general engineering were prepared for classes.

1980 year

In September, the library of the Zhambyl Technological Institute of light and food industry, by order of the Ministry of higher and secondary special education of the Kazakh SSR, was appointed the main methodological center of Higher and secondary special educational institutions of Zhambyl, and two sections were functioning, supervising 11 libraries of higher and secondary special educational institutions.

1981 year

The library of the Zhambyl Institute of water reclamation construction was moved to the new complex "House of Sciences".

Reading rooms, season tickets for artistic and scientific literature were opened, interlibrary season tickets and educational sectors began to work.
In 1987, the total collection of the library was 373,860 copies.
From 1982 to 1994, Kulpash Alimgazykyzy Ibraishina was the head of the library. In order to improve information and Mass work for readers, the library staff organized a group-based service for students in the systems of "differentiated Management Service", "selective information distribution". The book fund increased by 379,000 copies.

1983 year

For the exchange of experience, the head of the library Ibraishina K. A. visited the Temiryazev Agricultural Academy in Moscow, the library of the Agricultural Institute in Voronezh, and the city of Almaty, where he attended seminars of library staff of universities in Kazakhstan.

From the" House of Sciences " to the main building of the institute, the library moved subscription books of textbooks and scientific literature, information and bibliographic, book fund replenishment and processing departments, and opened a reading room for 120 seats. In honor of the 180th anniversary of the great Kazakh kuishi-composer, classic of instrumental music - Kurmangazy Sagyrbayuly, artists of the Abai drama theater were invited to the "House of Sciences", where they showed a performance about Kurmangazy. The meeting was very interesting and touching.

In order to exchange experience, librarian A. A. Lee and methodologist M. I. Moldalimova took part in the seminar "bibliographic work of agricultural universities in the library of the K. D. Glinka Agrarian University in Voronezh.
From 1994 to 1998, Gulnara Maksutovna Akhanova served as the head of the library of the Zhambyl Institute of Hydro-reclamation construction. During these years, the library attracted many young specialists (Esirkepova Gulmira Zharylkapovna, Rybalkina Nadezhda Vladimirovna, etc.), who graduated from the Al-Farabi Shymkent Pedagogical Institute of culture with a degree in Library Science.

On March 24, by the decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 256, The Scientific Library of Taraz State University named after Muhammad Haidar Dulati was created by the merger of the libraries of three higher educational institutions of the Regional Center – Zhambyl University, Zhambyl Institute of Hydro-reclamation construction, Zhambyl Technological Institute of light and food industry, headed by Farida Muksynovna Myrzakhanova from 1998 to 2009.

Lomonosov.
