Dear Faculty Members, Students, and Master’s Students!
We invite you to participate in the “Reading Nation” Republican Book-Reading Marathon, which will take place from September 2026 to April 2027.
The marathon will be held in two leagues: Kazakh and Russian.
The main objectives of the project are to promote a culture of reading, improve readers’ literary literacy, develop critical and analytical thinking skills, and make reading a shared social value.
Marathon Categories:

“Reading School” — for students in Grades 6–10;

“Reading College” — for college students;
-
“Reading University” — for university students;
-
“Reading Educator” — for schoolteachers and college instructors;

“Reading Dynasty” — for family teams;
-
“Reading Civil Servant” — for civil servants;
-
“Reading Intellectual” — for all citizens, regardless of age or occupation.
How Can You Participate in the Marathon?

Visit the digital platform https://reading-nation.kz and register between September 1 and 30.

Review the list of recommended books for your chosen category.
-
Read 15 books.
-
Participate in the final testing and intellectual quizzes.
-
Become one of the top participants and compete for a prize-winning place.
The marathon’s collection includes 330 books, featuring works of national literature, world classics, contemporary literature, books selected for the “100 Books” list through nationwide voting, works by Nobel Prize laureates in Literature, and international bestsellers.
Prize Fund
The winners and runners-up of the regional stages will receive cash prizes:

1st place — KZT 600,000;

2nd place — KZT 450,000;

3rd place — KZT 300,000.
